Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty

Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty

I fell in love with Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty when I was writing Every Last Word. One of my therapist friends told me about it. She uses it with all her clients to give them something to do with their hands while they talk. She believes the tactile activity helps them open up.

If you’ve read Every Last Word, you know I borrowed this from her. I gave Shrink-Sue putty for all her patients. Sam plays with it during her therapy sessions—smashing it, snapping it, forming it into cubes. Now I do the same. I can’t write without it.

Also, I just realized I named one of the characters in Little Do We Know “Aaron.” Coincidence? I think not.
