About Tamara Ireland Stone

I write Young Adult fiction about travel, music, romance, and normal people with extraordinary talents. I write stories about kids and teens, because when I was young, books made me feel like somebody out there actually got me. I hope my stories make you feel that way too. I also hope they make you think and laugh and cry a little bit (or a lot). I hope they make you want to travel the world, rock climb, run, swim, play soccer, listen to the lyrics, write poetry, keep a journal, seek out true friends, try coding, and ask big questions of yourself and others.

Buxtehuder Bulle Nomination

I was absolutely stunned when I learned that my first novel, Time Between Us, was going to be published. But then I got my first offer from a foreign publisher, and that was even harder to get my mind around. My book was going to be published in other languages? It seemed too wonderful

They're finally here, friends! I have two new books out in the great big world today: Time and Time Again, the gorgeous new bind-up of my time travel series, and the paperback edition of Every Last Word. Time and Time Again is a collection of my two time travel

World Poetry Day | The Giving Keys

I recently discovered The Giving Keys and had this beauty made. I'll wear it for a while, but as you can see, it's not mine to keep. Just like Caroline said, we pass the key on. I'm not sure who this is going to, but someday it will find its new owner. It might

Little Do We Know & Click’d Edits

Little Do We Know & Click'd edits: My worlds collided! I’m finalizing a new draft of Little Do We Know and working on first pass pages for Click'd. My brain hurts! Fun fact: You’re looking at 141,296 words here. (Don’t even ask me how many I’ve thrown out along the way!)

Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty

I fell in love with Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty when I was writing Every Last Word. One of my therapist friends told me about it. She uses it with all her clients to give them something to do with their hands while they talk. She believes the tactile activity helps them open up. If you’ve

A List of Cages

I had to brave a fierce rainstorm to get my hands on this beauty, but it was so worth it. A List Of Cages is such a gorgeous book, inside and out. Happy Book Birthday, Robin Roe! I can’t wait to watch everyone fall in love with Adam and Julian’s story like I did.

New Office Artwork

New office artwork inspired by Every Last Word’s Caroline, along with some of my favorite books on writing. Have you read any of these? Which writing books inspire you? “Fiction is like a spider’s web, attached ever so lightly perhaps, but still attached to life at all four corners.” — Virginia Woolf, A Room of
